Gigaclear's October promotion runs from 1 to 25 October 2026. Galileo 900 with Smart WiFi is £32 a month with no activation fee and an £80 gift card, Odyssey 600 is £24 a month with no activation fee, and Explorer 300 is £19 a month plus a £30 activation fee. All three are 18-month contracts for new customers at addresses where Gigaclear's rural full fibre network is ready. The catch is availability: Gigaclear is a village-by-village network, so the only way to know whether you can order is to check your exact address.
SwitchSquid has set out what each package costs over the full 18 months, how the gift card works, and the details worth reading before you order while the offer is live.
Gigaclear's October offers at a glance
Package | Average speed (upload and download) | Monthly price | Activation fee | Extras |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Explorer 300 | 300Mbps | £19 | £30 | eero WiFi 7 router |
Odyssey 600 | 600Mbps | £24 | £0 | eero WiFi 7 router |
Galileo 900 with Smart WiFi | 900Mbps | £32 | £0 | eero Pro 7 router, Smart WiFi, £80 gift card |
Gigaclear quotes the same figure for upload and download, which is unusual. Most big-name full fibre plans have much slower upload speeds than download speeds. If you send large files, back up photos to the cloud or work from home on video calls, a symmetrical connection makes a real difference. Gigaclear also states minimum download speeds on each package: 240Mbps on Explorer 300, 480Mbps on Odyssey 600 and 700Mbps on Galileo 900.
SwitchSquid may earn a commission if you buy through the links on this page, at no extra cost to you. It never changes which deals we feature or how we rank them.
The headline deal is Galileo 900. At £32 a month it is the dearest of the three, but it is the only package with the £80 gift card and it includes Smart WiFi, which adds a second eero unit to spread the signal around a larger home. Gigaclear values that extra unit at £6 a month on its own, or £108 over the 18-month term.

How the £80 gift card works
The gift card is only available on Galileo 900 with Smart WiFi. Gigaclear's October voucher terms set out how it is paid, and it is worth knowing the timings before you count on it:
Order in time: the promotion runs from 1 October to 25 October 2026, and the order must be placed within that period.
Stay connected for 40 days: you must remain connected for 40 days after your service is activated, with no overdue balance when the card is sent.
Delivered by email: the reward email is issued within 40 days after those conditions are met, and you choose your gift card from the options it lists.
Claim within 90 days: you have 90 days from the reward email to claim it. The terms say unclaimed rewards will not be reissued, so keep an eye on your inbox.
One per customer: it cannot be combined with other Gigaclear promotions, and there is no cash alternative.
In practice, that means the card arrives a couple of months or more after your installation date, not on the day you order. Treat it as a welcome bonus rather than money towards your first bill.
What each package costs over 18 months
A monthly price only tells part of the story. Here is what you would pay across the whole minimum term on the October prices, including activation fees and, for Galileo 900, the gift card. These figures assume the price stays the same for 18 months. Gigaclear's terms say prices may change during the contract, so check the price and any changes shown at checkout.
Package | 18 months at the monthly price | Activation fee | Gift card | Net cost over 18 months | Price after 18 months |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Explorer 300 | £342 | £30 | None | £372 | £51 a month |
Odyssey 600 | £432 | £0 | None | £432 | £63 a month |
Galileo 900 with Smart WiFi | £576 | £0 | £80 | £496 | £88 a month |
Explorer 300 is the cheapest way in at £372 over the term. Odyssey 600 costs £60 more across 18 months but doubles the average speed and has no activation fee. Galileo 900 works out at £496 once the gift card is counted, which is £64 more than Odyssey 600 for a faster connection, a better router and Smart WiFi.
The figure that matters most is the one in the last column. After the 18-month minimum term, Gigaclear moves you to its list price for existing customers at that time. Today that is £51 a month for 300Mbps, £63 for 600Mbps and £88 for 900Mbps. That is a big jump from the offer prices, so put a reminder in your calendar for around month 16 and look at your options before the term ends.
Which Gigaclear package should you choose?
Explorer 300 (£19 a month): plenty for one to three people who stream, browse and take video calls. It is the best fit if you mainly want to move off a slow copper line at the lowest monthly cost.
Odyssey 600 (£24 a month): the sensible middle choice for families, with room for several 4K streams, game downloads and home working at once, and no activation fee.
Galileo 900 with Smart WiFi (£32 a month): for busy households, larger or older homes with thick walls where one router struggles, and anyone who wants the gift card.
If you are torn between Odyssey 600 and Galileo 900, think about your home rather than the speed. A 900Mbps line is wasted if the WiFi cannot reach the back bedroom. Galileo's Smart WiFi is often the bigger upgrade in a rambling farmhouse or a cottage with stone walls.

Why Gigaclear matters if you live rurally
Full fibre is now widespread in towns, but the countryside is still catching up. Ofcom's Connected Nations 2025 report found that full fibre was available to 78% of UK homes in July 2025, but only 61% of rural homes, compared with 81% in urban areas. Ofcom also found that where full fibre is available in rural areas, take-up is higher than in towns: 56% against 40%. Rural households tend to switch quickly once a fibre line reaches them.
Gigaclear builds almost entirely in rural England. Its accounts for 2025, reported by ISPreview, put its network at 618,000 premises ready for service and 165,000 live customers at the end of the year. It is also one of the builders on the government's Project Gigabit programme, with contracts in East Gloucestershire, North Oxfordshire and South Oxfordshire.

Gigaclear compared with a big-name alternative
If Gigaclear does not reach your address yet, the obvious alternative is a national provider. As one comparison point, BT is currently offering Full Fibre 150 at £23.99 a month on a 24-month contract, rising to £27.99 in March 2027 and £31.99 in March 2028. That is a slower plan on a longer contract, but it is available in far more places. Gigaclear's Explorer 300 is £4.99 a month cheaper and twice as fast on paper, with a shorter contract, so if your address qualifies it is well worth comparing the two.
Important conditions to read before ordering
New customers only: you count as new if at least 60 days have passed since Gigaclear service at the property was disconnected.
Address-dependent: the prices apply only at selected addresses where a Gigaclear connection point is ready for service. A neighbour being connected does not guarantee your home is.
18-month minimum term: leaving early normally means paying for the rest of the term.
Installation: standard installation is free. A non-standard installation, such as a long cable run up a private drive, can carry a quoted charge.
Activation: £30 on Explorer 300, £0 on Odyssey 600 and Galileo 900. Gigaclear also waives the £30 fee if your property is eligible for a government gigabit voucher and you consent to it being claimed.
Price changes: Gigaclear's terms say prices may change during the contract, and the price moves to the list price after 18 months.
Speeds: the averages are achievable by at least half of users on a wired connection at peak times. WiFi speeds vary.
Still in a contract elsewhere?
Gigaclear runs a separate in-contract offer for people with 12 months or less left on their current broadband contract. Its terms are separate from the October promotion, and the October terms say offers cannot be combined unless Gigaclear says so. If you are in that position, ask Gigaclear which offer gives you the better deal before you order.
How to switch to Gigaclear
Enter your postcode and choose your exact address on the Gigaclear page to confirm the connection is ready.
Pick the package that fits your household, using the table above.
Check the monthly price, activation fee and any installation charge shown before you confirm.
Book your installation. An engineer fits the router and, on Galileo 900, sets up Smart WiFi at no extra cost.
Gigaclear's One Touch Switch process lets it contact your current provider for you. Check whether your old provider charges a fee for leaving early.
If you chose Galileo 900, watch for the gift card email after you have been connected for 40 days.
Our verdict
If Gigaclear has reached your home, its October prices are strong value for full fibre with matching upload and download speeds. Odyssey 600 is the best all-rounder at £432 over 18 months with no activation fee. Galileo 900 is worth the extra £64 net if your home needs better WiFi coverage or you want the £80 gift card. Explorer 300 is the budget pick at £19 a month. Whichever you choose, plan ahead for the jump to the list price after 18 months.
The October promotion runs to 25 October 2026. Details are correct as of 19 October 2026; please check the price and terms for your address before ordering.
