Cookies policy

We use cookies to make Switch work, to remember your comparison choices, and to measure how the site is performing. Here is the full breakdown.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser when you visit a website. Cookies are how the site remembers you between page loads.

Strictly-necessary cookies

These are required for the site to function. They cannot be turned off. Examples: session ID, CSRF protection, recently-viewed deals.

Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and features get used. IP addresses are anonymised before analytics ingestion. You can opt out via the cookie banner shown on your first visit.

Performance & error reporting

We use Sentry to capture JavaScript errors so we can fix them. Sentry does not log personal data — only stack traces and performance metrics.

Marketing cookies

We do not currently use any third-party advertising or remarketing cookies.

Managing cookies

Most browsers let you block cookies entirely or selectively. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break the site. To manage your preferences for this site specifically, click "Cookie preferences" in the footer of any page.

Cookies policy — questions

Can I use the site without cookies?

You can browse, but features that depend on session state (saved comparisons, completing a switch) will not work without strictly-necessary cookies.
