Next update: when Mobiles.co.uk changes its Pixel 10a gifts or terms.
By: Switch Editorial Team, Switch Squid Ltd
As of 22 October 2026, if you buy a Google Pixel 10a on contract or as an upgrade from Mobiles.co.uk, you get a free £50 Currys gift card and can claim a free pair of Google Pixel Buds 2a, which Google sells for £129. That is up to £179 of extras on top of the phone, and Mobiles.co.uk says the offer runs until 3 November 2026. The catch is timing: the gift card arrives by email 30 to 40 days after you buy, and the earbuds are a claim you make yourself, not something that turns up in the box. This SwitchSquid guide explains who qualifies, how to claim both gifts and whether the bundle is the right way to buy a Pixel 10a. We may earn a commission if you buy through links on this page; it doesn’t change the price you pay.

Google Pixel 10a at Mobiles.co.uk — free £50 Currys gift card plus free Pixel Buds 2a
£50 Currys gift card on the Pixel 10a 128GB or 256GB, bought online at Mobiles.co.uk between 20 October and 3 November 2026 (check before you buy), subject to availability
Free Pixel Buds 2a (worth £129) to claim online for Pixel 10a purchases made by 23:59 on 3 November 2026
Eligibility: 18+, UK address, new contracts and upgrades, subject to a credit check. Earbud claims open 14 days after purchase, from 29 October to 18 December 2026
Main limitation: neither gift arrives with the phone. The gift card comes by email 30 to 40 days after purchase, and the earbuds need a claim form
The offer in plain English
There are two separate gifts here, run by two different companies, and it helps to keep them apart in your head.
Gift one: a £50 Currys gift card from Mobiles.co.uk. When we read the terms on 22 October 2026, they said you need to buy a Google Pixel 10a in 128GB or 256GB online at Mobiles.co.uk between 20 October and 3 November 2026. You must be 18 or over and in the UK, and you need a valid email address, because the card is electronic. It is emailed to you 30 to 40 days after you buy and stays valid for 24 months. If you return the phone, you lose the card.
Gift two: a free pair of Google Pixel Buds 2a. This one is Google’s own promotion, handled by a claims company called Opia on Google’s behalf. Mobiles.co.uk is one of the named participating retailers. Buy a new Pixel 10a between 14 October and 3 November 2026 (23:59 UK time), wait 14 days, and then fill in the claim form between 29 October and 18 December 2026. Google’s UK store lists the Pixel Buds 2a at £129.
Put the two together and you are looking at up to £179 of extras with a phone you were going to buy anyway. It is still worth being clear-eyed about it, though: a gift only counts as a saving if the contract underneath it is one you would have chosen without the freebies.
Is this deal for you?
Good for: anyone who has already settled on a Pixel 10a and wants a contract or upgrade, especially if you don’t own a decent pair of wireless earbuds.
Consider alternatives if: you want to stay on your current network’s own upgrade deal, you would rather buy SIM-free and pair it with a rolling SIM, or you need the Pixel 10’s newer Tensor G5 chip and zoom camera.
Who qualifies, and who doesn’t
Here is what the terms say, in one place:
Age and address: 18 or over, with a UK address. The earbuds are posted to a residential or registered business address in the UK.
Which phone: the Google Pixel 10a. The gift card terms cover both the 128GB and the 256GB model. Any colour counts.
New contract or upgrade: Mobiles.co.uk is promoting the gifts on Pixel 10a contracts and upgrades. Pay monthly plans are subject to a credit check, as with any phone contract.
Where you buy: the gift card terms say the purchase must be made online through Mobiles.co.uk.
How many: the earbud promotion allows two claims per household, or eight per business, with one claim per phone.
Who can’t take part: employees of Google, Opia or the participating retailers and their immediate families are excluded from the earbud offer.
Returns: send the phone back and the gift card offer no longer applies.
Neither gift can be swapped for cash. If you were hoping to take £179 off the bill instead, that isn’t an option.
Gift card or earbuds: which is worth more to you?
You get both, so this isn’t a choice. But the two gifts are worth very different amounts depending on what you already own, and that should shape how much weight you give the bundle when you compare deals.
Gift | Stated value | How you get it | When it arrives | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
£50 Currys gift card | £50 | Automatic. Sent to the email address on your order | 30 to 40 days after purchase; valid for 24 months | Anyone. It works like cash at Currys for a case, charger, smartwatch strap or something else entirely |
Google Pixel Buds 2a | £129 (Google Store UK price) | You claim online with your receipt and IMEI1 | Claim from 14 days after purchase, between 29 October and 18 December 2026 | People who don’t own decent wireless earbuds, or whose current pair is fading |
Both together | Up to £179 | One automatic, one by claim | Spread over roughly six to ten weeks | Pixel 10a buyers who would choose a Mobiles.co.uk contract anyway |
If you already have a pair of earbuds you like, the £129 figure is a list price, not money in your pocket. You could give them as a present or keep them as a spare pair, but be honest with yourself about what they are worth to you. The £50 gift card is closer to a real saving because almost everyone buys something from Currys in a two-year window.
What the Pixel Buds 2a actually are
The Pixel Buds 2a are Google’s cheaper earbuds, sitting below the Pixel Buds Pro 2. According to Google’s spec sheet, you get:
Active noise cancellation (Google calls it Silent Seal 1.5) plus a Transparency mode for when you need to hear announcements or traffic.
Battery life of up to 7 hours with noise cancelling on, or 20 hours including top-ups from the case. With it off, up to 10 hours, or 27 hours with the case. Five minutes in the case gives about an hour of listening.
IP54 sweat and water resistance on the earbuds, so rain and gym sessions are fine.
Bluetooth 5.4, Google’s Tensor A1 chip and hands-free Gemini on Android.
A twist-to-adjust fit that locks in for workouts or relaxes for all-day wear.
What you don’t get is wireless charging for the case or spatial audio with head tracking. Those are on the Pro 2. For commuting, calls and casual listening, the 2a are more than enough, and they pair with an iPhone or laptop too if someone else in the house ends up with them.
Is the Pixel 10a itself worth buying?
A free gift is pointless if the phone is wrong for you, so here is the short version. The Pixel 10a went on sale in the UK on 5 March 2026 at £499 SIM-free. Google’s published specs list:
A 6.3-inch OLED screen that runs at up to 120Hz, with Gorilla Glass 7i on top.
Google’s Tensor G4 chip with 8GB of RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of storage. There is no memory card slot.
A 5,100mAh battery that Google rates at 30+ hours, plus wireless charging and fast wired charging with a 45W charger (sold separately).
A 48MP main camera and 13MP ultrawide on the back, with a 13MP selfie camera.
IP68 dust and water resistance, Satellite SOS for emergencies and seven years of Android and security updates.
The honest weakness is the chip. The Pixel 10a uses the same Tensor G4 as last year’s Pixel 9a rather than the newer Tensor G5 in the Pixel 10. Day to day, for messaging, photos, maps and streaming, that rarely matters. If you play demanding games or want the best zoom camera, look at the Pixel 10 instead. For most people who want a clean Android phone with excellent photos and very long support, the 10a is a sensible buy, and seven years of updates means the phone should outlast a 24-month contract by a long way.
One practical note: Mobiles.co.uk’s Pixel 10a listing says its contract phones are set up with an eSIM, so you will need Wi-Fi or a hotspot from your old phone to get connected on day one.
How this compares with other ways to buy a Pixel 10a
The earbud promotion isn’t exclusive to Mobiles.co.uk. Google’s terms list a long line of participating retailers, including EE, giffgaff, O2, Three, Vodafone, Sky Mobile, Tesco Mobile, iD Mobile, Voxi and Currys. The £50 Currys gift card is the part that the terms tie to buying online at Mobiles.co.uk. That leaves three realistic routes:
Route | £50 Currys gift card | Pixel Buds 2a claim | Good for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Pixel 10a contract or upgrade at Mobiles.co.uk | Yes, by email 30 to 40 days after purchase | Yes, by claim | Getting both gifts with one order | Fixed April price rises are listed on each tariff, so check them before you choose |
Pixel 10a direct from a network or another participating retailer | Not under the terms we read | Yes, if bought by 3 November 2026 | Existing customers who want to stay put, or a specific network perk | Different total cost; compare on a like-for-like basis |
Pixel 10a SIM-free plus a SIM only plan | Not under the terms we read | Yes, if bought from a participating retailer | People who want a short or rolling SIM deal | A big one-off payment for the handset |
To see how Mobiles.co.uk stacks up against network deals on price, our Google Pixel 10a deals comparison lists contracts from several networks side by side, sorted by total cost. Compare the 24-month total there, then take £50 off in your head for the Mobiles.co.uk gift card. If Mobiles.co.uk still comes out level or ahead, the bundle is a clear win.
Choose a Pixel 10a plan at Mobiles.co.uk and get both gifts
Free £50 Currys gift card plus free Pixel Buds 2a (worth £129) to claim: up to £179 of extras
Pick 128GB or 256GB and the data allowance you need; each plan shows its 24-month total cost before you order
Offer runs until 3 November 2026, as stated by Mobiles.co.uk
Picking the right plan underneath the gifts
The gifts are the same whichever tariff you choose, so the plan should be about you, not the freebies. A few things we look at on every phone contract:
Work out the total cost. Multiply the monthly price by 24 and add the upfront cost. That single figure is the fairest way to compare two contracts.
Check the April price rises. Most UK networks now add a fixed amount in pounds and pence every April. Mobiles.co.uk lists the future monthly prices on each tariff card, so read them before you order.
Don’t overbuy data. If you are on Wi-Fi at home and work, a mid-sized allowance usually does the job. Heavy streamers and anyone who uses their phone as a hotspot should go bigger.
Choose storage once. The Pixel 10a has no memory card slot. If you shoot a lot of video and don’t pay for cloud storage, the 256GB model is worth considering.
Look at the network, not just the price. Mobiles.co.uk sells Pixel 10a plans on more than one network. Check coverage at your home and work postcodes before you commit to two years.
How to claim the Pixel Buds 2a, step by step
The gift card looks after itself once you have ordered. The earbuds don’t, and this is where people miss out. Based on the promotion terms, the process runs like this:
Order your Pixel 10a by 23:59 on 3 November 2026. Keep the order confirmation email. It is your proof of purchase.
Wait 14 days from the purchase date. Claims made earlier aren’t accepted. The claim window opens on 29 October 2026 at the earliest.
Find your phone’s IMEI1 number. It is printed on the box and the SIM tray, and you can also find it under Settings, About phone. You may be asked for a photo of it, so take one while the box is handy.
Fill in the claim form on the promotion website named in the terms (reward-promos.com/octoberbuds). You will need your full name, email address, delivery address, a copy of your receipt or invoice and the IMEI1.
Pick a colour. The terms list Hazel, Iris, Fog and Berry, subject to availability.
Watch your inbox. Opia says it will tell you within five working days whether your claim has been approved. It aims to post the earbuds within 30 days of approving your claim, though the terms allow up to 60.
The last day to claim is 18 December 2026. Set a reminder on your new phone for 15 days after delivery and you won’t have to think about it again.
Noise-cancelling earbuds earn their keep on a wet commute. The Pixel Buds 2a offer gives you a pair to claim with your Pixel 10a.
Switching steps if you’re leaving another network
Check you’re out of contract or happy to pay any early exit fee. Your current network can tell you, or text INFO to 85075 to find your contract end date.
Get your PAC code if you want to keep your number. Text PAC to 65075 and it arrives by text, free.
Order the Pixel 10a at Mobiles.co.uk by 3 November 2026 and add the PAC during checkout or after, as your new network instructs.
Set up your eSIM on Wi-Fi when the phone arrives, and move your data across from your old phone.
Diary two dates: 14 days after purchase to claim the earbuds, and around 40 days after purchase to check your inbox (and spam folder) for the gift card.
FAQ
Is the £50 Currys gift card really free with the Pixel 10a at Mobiles.co.uk?
Yes. Mobiles.co.uk’s terms say anyone 18 or over in the UK who buys a Pixel 10a 128GB or 256GB online between 20 October and 3 November 2026 gets a £50 Currys gift card. It is emailed 30 to 40 days after purchase and is valid for 24 months. You lose it if you return the phone.
Do I get the Pixel Buds 2a in the box?
No. The Pixel Buds 2a are a separate claim run on Google’s behalf. You submit a form with your receipt and the phone’s IMEI1 number at least 14 days after buying, between 29 October and 18 December 2026. The earbuds are then posted to your UK address.
Does the offer apply to upgrades as well as new contracts?
Mobiles.co.uk is promoting both gifts on Pixel 10a contracts and upgrades. The earbud terms simply require you to buy a new Pixel 10a from a participating retailer by 3 November 2026. Check that the gift badges show on the tariff you pick before you place your order.
When does the Pixel 10a gift card and earbuds offer finish?
Mobiles.co.uk says the offer runs until 3 November 2026, and the earbud promotion covers purchases made up to 23:59 UK time that day. Claims for the earbuds stay open until 18 December 2026, as long as 14 days have passed since you bought the phone.
Can I swap the earbuds or gift card for cash off my bill?
No. Both terms rule out a cash alternative, and the earbud offer isn’t transferable. If you don’t need the earbuds, you could give them away as a gift, but you can’t trade them in with Mobiles.co.uk or Google for money.
What do I need to claim the Pixel Buds 2a?
You need your full name, email address, UK delivery address, a copy of your receipt or invoice and your Pixel 10a’s IMEI1 number. The IMEI1 is on the box, the SIM tray and under Settings, About phone. Opia, which runs the claims, says it replies within five working days.
Are the Pixel Buds 2a any good?
They are Google’s entry-level noise-cancelling earbuds and sell for £129 on the Google Store. Google quotes up to 7 hours of listening with noise cancelling on, 20 hours with the case, and IP54 water resistance. They miss out on wireless case charging and head-tracked spatial audio, which are on the Pixel Buds Pro 2.
Is the Pixel 10a a good phone to buy in late 2026?
For most people, yes. It has a 6.3-inch 120Hz OLED screen, a 5,100mAh battery, IP68 protection and seven years of updates from Google. Its main compromise is the older Tensor G4 chip, which matters more to heavy gamers than to everyday users.
Our verdict
If you have already decided on a Pixel 10a, buying it from Mobiles.co.uk before 3 November 2026 gets you a £50 Currys gift card and a pair of £129 noise-cancelling earbuds for the cost of a claim form and a little patience. Check the 24-month total and the April price rises on the plan you pick, compare it with network deals, and set a reminder to claim the earbuds 14 days after you buy. If the earbuds are surplus to requirements, judge the deal on the £50 card alone.
