Next update: when 1pMobile or Lebara change their prices, or at the start of November 2026.
By: Switch Editorial Team, Switch Squid Ltd
As of 23 October 2026, 1pMobile sells 50GB of 5G data with unlimited UK calls and texts for £10 every 30 days, with no contract and no credit check, on the network it describes as the UK’s largest and fastest. It is one of the cheapest ways to get a lot of data on EE coverage. The catch is that the cheaper plans give less data for the money than some rivals: at £8, 1pMobile gives you 10GB, while Lebara’s 30GB plan costs the same £8 through our link. This SwitchSquid review covers 1pMobile’s prices, network, roaming, support and the 1p pay-as-you-go tariff, and compares it with Lebara and Chattr so you can pick the right SIM. We may earn a commission if you buy through links on this page; it doesn’t change the price you pay.

Lebara 30GB: £8 every 30 days through our link
- 30GB of 5G data with unlimited UK calls and texts for £8 every 30 days, when we checked on 23 October 2026
- No contract and no credit check; no code needed, the price shows on the plan page our link opens
- Main limitation: runs on Vodafone’s network, not EE, so check coverage. Lebara’s own site lists this plan at £10
Is 1pMobile any good? The short verdict
1pMobile is a good choice if you want a large data allowance on EE’s coverage without signing a contract. Its 50GB plan at £10 and 100GB plan at £15 are strong prices for a network that covers 99% of the UK population, according to 1pMobile. Every 30-day plan includes 5G, Wi-Fi calling, VoLTE and EU roaming in 46 destinations.
It is less convincing at the bottom end. The 5GB plan costs £5 and the 10GB plan costs £8, which is the same price as Lebara’s 30GB plan when you order through our link. If you only need 20GB to 30GB a month, you can get more data for your money elsewhere.
Support is the other trade-off. 1pMobile has a UK phone line, but it is open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday only, so evening and weekend problems wait until the next working day.
1pMobile prices in October 2026
All 30-day plans below include unlimited UK calls and texts, 5G, EU roaming and no speed caps. You can change plan at any time and there is no notice period. Prices were checked on 1pMobile’s website on 23 October 2026.
Plan | Price | Data | Contract | Upfront | Cost per GB | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1pMobile 5GB | £5 every 30 days | 5GB | None | £0 | £1.00 | Light users who mostly use Wi-Fi |
1pMobile 10GB | £8 every 30 days | 10GB | None | £0 | 80p | Occasional maps and messaging |
1pMobile 50GB | £10 every 30 days | 50GB | None | £0 | 20p | Most people; the standout plan |
1pMobile 75GB | £12.50 every 30 days | 75GB | None | £0 | 17p | Daily video on the commute |
1pMobile 100GB | £15 every 30 days | 100GB | None | £0 | 15p | Heavy streaming and hotspotting |
1pMobile 200GB | £20 every 30 days | 200GB | None | £0 | 10p | Using your phone as home internet |
1pMobile Unlimited | £25 every 30 days; extra SIMs £12.50 each | Unlimited (fair use above 500GB) | None | £0 | n/a | Families sharing one account |
1pMobile also sells one-year plans paid upfront. For example, 50GB a month for a year costs £110, which works out at about £9.17 a month, and unlimited data for a year costs £275, about £22.92 a month. You save around 8% on the 50GB plan, but you lose the freedom to drop down a tier if your usage falls.
The family offer is worth knowing about. The first unlimited SIM costs £25 and each extra unlimited SIM is half price at £12.50, so a household of four pays £62.50 every 30 days, or £15.63 per person.

Which network does 1pMobile use?
1pMobile runs on EE’s network, as it confirms on its pre-sales help page. It describes this as the UK’s largest and fastest 2G, 4G and 5G network, with 99% population coverage and around 90% landmass coverage. You get the same masts as EE customers, and 5G is included on every bundle at no extra cost.
Before you order, check coverage at your home and work postcodes on 1pMobile’s coverage checker. Mobile signal varies street by street, and indoor coverage can be weaker than the map suggests in older stone or brick buildings.
Who owns 1pMobile?
1pMobile is a trading name of Telecommunications Management Limited, a company based in Alton, Hampshire. 1pMobile says the business is owned by Telecom Plus PLC, the FTSE 250 group behind Utility Warehouse. It has been in the mobile market for more than two decades, so this is not a start-up that might vanish next month.
How does the 1p pay-as-you-go tariff work?
The tariff that gives 1pMobile its name charges 1p a minute, 1p a text and 1p a megabyte. It suits people who keep a phone for emergencies or barely use it. A ten-minute call costs 10p and twenty texts cost 20p.
Data is where it gets expensive. At 1p per megabyte, a single gigabyte costs about £10, which is the same price as the whole 50GB bundle. If you use more than a few hundred megabytes a month, a bundle is almost always cheaper.
Quick break-even check: if your PAYG spend would go over £5 in a month, the 5GB bundle is better value. If it would go over £8, the 50GB bundle at £10 gives you far more for very little extra.
1pMobile vs Lebara vs Chattr: which cheap SIM wins?
These three are the rolling, no-credit-check SIMs we get asked about most. Each runs on a different network, so coverage where you live may decide it for you. Prices were checked on 22 and 23 October 2026 for new customers.
Deal | Price | Data | Network | Contract | Upfront | Code | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Lebara 30GB (through our link) | £8 every 30 days | 30GB | Vodafone | None | £0 | None needed | The cheapest way to get 30GB |
1pMobile 50GB | £10 every 30 days | 50GB | EE | None | £0 | None | Lots of data on EE coverage |
1pMobile 10GB | £8 every 30 days | 10GB | EE | None | £0 | None | Light users on EE |
Chattr Freedom One | £15 a month, falling to £14 from month six and £13 from month twelve | Unlimited | O2 | None | £0 | None shown | Unlimited data on O2 |
Sources: 1pMobile, Lebara and Chattr. Lebara’s own site lists 30GB at £10; the £8 price is on the plan page our link opens.
Our view: if 30GB is enough, Lebara at £8 is the cheapest of the three and £2 a month less than 1pMobile’s 50GB plan, which adds up to £26 over 13 cycles of 30 days, roughly a year. If you need more than 30GB, or EE is the strongest signal where you live, 1pMobile’s 50GB plan is the better buy. If you want unlimited data and O2 works for you, Chattr is the simplest option. Read our full Lebara review and Chattr review for more detail.
Choose Lebara 30GB for £8 through our link: £2 a month less than 1pMobile 50GB
- £8 every 30 days against £10 for 1pMobile 50GB: about £26 less over 13 cycles
- Three times the data of 1pMobile’s £8 10GB plan
- Best if 30GB covers your month; pick 1pMobile 50GB if you need more data or EE coverage
Can you use 1pMobile abroad?
Yes. 1pMobile includes roaming at no extra cost in 46 European destinations, including France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Portugal, the Canary Islands, Ireland, Norway and Iceland. You can use your allowance and buy data boosts while you are away, with a 14GB cap on roaming data under its fair use policy.
Outside those destinations, charges apply. If you are heading to the USA, Turkey or Asia, a travel eSIM is usually cheaper than roaming; our travel eSIM deals guide compares the options.
Does 1pMobile offer eSIM?
Yes. You can choose an eSIM for instant activation on a compatible unlocked phone or smartwatch, or a triple-cut physical SIM that fits standard, micro and nano slots. 1pMobile says around 10% of its customers already use eSIM. Our eSIM vs physical SIM guide explains which to pick.

1pMobile customer service: what to expect
1pMobile’s UK support team answers calls on 0333 344 2278 between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Calls to 0333 numbers cost the same as calling a standard 01 or 02 number and usually come out of your inclusive minutes. You can also manage your plan, top up and add boosts in your online account at any time.
1pMobile says it has more than 19,000 reviews on Trustpilot. As always, read the most recent reviews rather than the overall score, because service can change over time.
How to switch to 1pMobile and keep your number
Check coverage at your home and work postcodes.
Make sure your phone is unlocked. Most phones bought in the last few years are, but older handsets from networks may not be.
Text PAC to 65075 from your current phone to get a free PAC code. It arrives within a minute and is valid for 30 days.
Order your SIM or eSIM and give the PAC code when asked. Your number usually moves within one working day.
Cancel nothing yourself. Using a PAC ends your old service automatically, although you may still owe any remaining contract charges.
Our guide on how to get a PAC code has more detail.
Who it suits
Good for: people who want 50GB or more on EE coverage for £10 to £15; families who can share the £12.50 extra unlimited SIMs; very light users who suit the 1p tariff; anyone who wants to avoid credit checks and contracts.
Consider alternatives if: you only need around 30GB, where Lebara is cheaper; you want help in the evening or at weekends; you mostly travel outside Europe; or EE’s signal is weak at your address.

FAQ
Is 1pMobile on EE?
Yes. 1pMobile uses EE’s network, which it describes as the UK’s largest and fastest, with 99% population coverage. 5G is included on its bundles at no extra cost, so you get the same coverage as EE customers.
Does 1pMobile do credit checks?
No. 1pMobile plans have no credit check and no contract. You pay every 30 days and can change or stop your plan whenever you like, which makes it a good option if you have a thin or poor credit history.
How much is 1pMobile’s 50GB plan?
The 50GB plan costs £10 every 30 days with unlimited UK calls and texts, when we checked on 23 October 2026. A one-year version costs £110 upfront, which is about £9.17 a month.
Is 1pMobile cheaper than Lebara?
It depends on how much data you need. At £8, Lebara’s 30GB plan through our link gives three times the data of 1pMobile’s £8 10GB plan. Above 30GB, 1pMobile is better value, with 50GB for £10 and 100GB for £15.
Can I keep my number when I move to 1pMobile?
Yes. Text PAC to 65075 from your current phone to get a free PAC code, then enter it when you order. Your number normally transfers within one working day and your old service ends automatically.
Does 1pMobile charge for roaming in Europe?
No. Roaming is included in 46 European destinations, including the EU, Norway, Iceland and the Channel Islands. A 14GB cap applies to roaming data under the fair use policy, and other countries are charged extra.
Is the 1p tariff worth it?
Only if you use your phone very little. Calls and texts are cheap at 1p each, but data at 1p per megabyte costs about £10 per gigabyte. If you use more than a few hundred megabytes a month, a bundle saves money.
Our verdict
1pMobile is an honest, well-priced SIM for people who need plenty of data on EE’s network, and its 50GB plan for £10 is the one to look at first. If 30GB covers your month, Lebara’s 30GB for £8 through our link (£10 on Lebara’s own site) is the cheaper buy, with no contract, no credit check and 5G included.
