As of 21 October 2026, SMARTY’s own website offers 32GB of data for £8 a month to people who join its 16GB plan by 23:59 on 9 November 2026. Through the SMARTY offer link on this page, the same £8 a month gets you 50GB, with the offer available until 31 December 2026. That is 18GB more data for the same price, on the same 1-month rolling plan with unlimited UK calls and texts. This SwitchSquid guide compares the two offers side by side, explains the terms that matter, and shows when SMARTY’s bigger plans are worth the extra money. We may earn a commission if you buy through links on this page; it doesn’t change the price you pay.

SMARTY 50GB for £8 a month
50GB of data with unlimited UK calls and texts for £8 a month on a 1-month rolling plan, with the offer available until 31 December 2026
18GB more than the 32GB SMARTY offers on its own site for the same £8
Main limitation: it’s for new SMARTY customers only, and the 50GB price is applied through the offer link, so check that 50GB and £8 show in your basket before you pay

SMARTY 50GB vs 32GB: the side-by-side comparison
Both offers are built on SMARTY’s 16GB plan, which normally costs £8 a month. The difference is how much extra data is added on top and how you get it. Here is how they compare on 21 October 2026:
Offer | Data | Monthly price | Price per GB | How to get it | Offer date |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
SMARTY 50GB (offer link) | 50GB | £8 | 16p | New customers, through the offer link on this page | Available until 31 December 2026 |
SMARTY 32GB (SMARTY’s own site) | 32GB (16GB + 16GB extra) | £8 | 25p | Join or switch to the 16GB plan directly with SMARTY | Join by 23:59 on 9 November 2026 |
SMARTY 16GB (standard) | 16GB | £8 | 50p | Standard plan | Ongoing |
SMARTY 140GB (SMARTY’s own site) | 140GB (100GB + 40GB extra) | £12 | 9p | Join or switch to the 100GB plan directly with SMARTY | Join by 23:59 on 26 October 2026 |
Price per GB is simply the monthly price divided by the data, rounded to the nearest penny. On that measure, 50GB for £8 is half the cost per gigabyte of SMARTY’s standard 16GB plan, and about a third cheaper per gigabyte than the 32GB offer.
What does SMARTY’s 32GB for £8 offer include?
SMARTY’s own offer terms describe it as its 16GB Voice and Data Plan with 16GB of extra promotional data for £8 each month. The key conditions are:
Join date: you must switch your plan to SMARTY’s 1-month 16GB plan by 23:59 UK time on 9 November 2026.
How long it lasts: the extra data is available for up to 15 consecutive months from your first renewal on the promotion. After that, the plan goes back to 16GB for £8 a month.
Keep renewing: you must set your account to auto-renew, or renew manually within 12 hours of the end of your billing cycle. If you change to another plan, the promotion stops.
Who can get it: UK residents aged 16 or over.
Discounts: it can be combined with SMARTY’s Groups 10% discount for eligible members, but not with other promotions.
Those are fair terms for a rolling SIM. The 15-month limit and the need to keep auto-renewing are the details most likely to catch people out, so it is worth setting a reminder for when the extra data stops.
Why does the offer link get more data?
Networks often run different promotions in different places. SMARTY sells directly on its own website and also through partner sites, and the offers aren’t always the same. The 50GB offer is applied through the link on this page, which is why we ask you to check your basket: if 50GB and £8 are showing before you pay, you’re on the right offer.
SMARTY’s terms for the 50GB offer say it is for new SMARTY customers who are UK residents aged 16 or over, that you need to activate your SIM within 14 days, and that it can’t be combined with any other promotion or discount, including the Groups discount. As with the 32GB offer, you need to keep your plan on auto-renew, or renew manually within 12 hours of the end of your billing cycle, to keep the 50GB allowance.
Because the two offers are separate, you can’t stack them, and you can’t usually move from one to the other without changing plan. If you already have SMARTY, the 50GB offer isn’t open to you because it is for new customers, but SMARTY’s 32GB terms talk about switching your plan, so check that offer in your account. Look at what your current plan includes before changing anything, because switching plans can end an existing promotion.
What 50GB gets you compared with 32GB
The extra 18GB matters most for people who sit near the top of a 32GB allowance. As a rough guide, an hour of HD video streaming typically uses between 1.5GB and 3GB. On that basis, 18GB is roughly six to twelve extra hours of HD video a month, or a lot of maps, music and social media.
Choose 50GB if you stream video on the move, tether a laptop now and then, or regularly run out of data before the end of the month.
32GB is enough if you use Wi-Fi most of the time and rarely go above 20GB to 30GB. At the same £8, though, there’s little reason to choose less data.
Consider bigger plans if you use your phone as your main internet connection. SMARTY’s 100GB plan is £12 a month and its unlimited plan is £20.
Choose SMARTY 50GB for £8
50GB for £8 a month against 32GB for £8 on SMARTY’s own site: 18GB more for the same price
£96 over 12 months if the price stays the same, with unlimited UK calls and texts
Main limitation: SMARTY runs on Three’s network, so check coverage where you live and work

What does a year cost?
Because all of these plans are 1-month rolling, there’s no fixed contract total. The figures below assume you keep the same plan and the price doesn’t change for 12 months.
Plan | Monthly price | 12 months | Total data over 12 months |
|---|---|---|---|
SMARTY 50GB (offer link) | £8 | £96 | 600GB |
SMARTY 32GB (SMARTY’s own site) | £8 | £96 | 384GB |
SMARTY 16GB (standard) | £8 | £96 | 192GB |
SMARTY 5GB | £6 | £72 | 60GB |
SMARTY 100GB | £12 | £144 | 1,200GB |
The cost is identical for 50GB, 32GB and 16GB, so the only question is how much data you want. The 5GB plan saves £24 a year, but you get less than a tenth of the data of the 50GB offer.
Is SMARTY a good network?
SMARTY is owned by Hutchison 3G UK, part of VodafoneThree, and runs on Three’s network. That means coverage should match Three’s where you live, so check a coverage map for your home and workplace before switching. SMARTY plans include unlimited UK calls and texts and 5G where available, and SMARTY says there’s no credit check.
The main trade-off is service style. SMARTY is a digital-first network, with help mostly through its app, website and online community rather than shops. Most people find that fine for a SIM only plan, but it’s worth knowing if you prefer to speak to someone face to face.
Will there be a better SMARTY deal on Black Friday?
SMARTY hadn’t published any Black Friday 2026 plans when we checked on 21 October 2026. Because both offers here are on 1-month rolling plans, you don’t have to guess. You can take the 50GB plan now and, if SMARTY or another network launches something better in November, give a month’s notice and switch. Our full guide to SMARTY’s 50GB £8 plan covers who it suits and how it compares with SMARTY’s other plans.
How to switch to SMARTY and keep your number
Order through the offer link and check that 50GB and £8 are in your basket.
Text PAC to 65075 from your current phone to get your switching code.
Enter the code with SMARTY when you activate your SIM or eSIM. The switch normally completes within one working day.
Check whether your old network needs notice or charges an exit fee if you’re still in a contract.
Our verdict
SMARTY’s 32GB for £8 is a decent offer on its own, but the 50GB plan through our link gives you 18GB more for exactly the same £8 a month, with the offer available until 31 December 2026. Unless you need SMARTY’s much bigger allowances or you’re already a SMARTY customer, 50GB for £8 is the SMARTY plan to choose this November. If you’re still unsure how much data you use, ask Squid AI, SwitchSquid’s AI deal assistant, which allowance suits you before you commit.

Frequently asked questions
Does SMARTY have a 32GB for £8 deal?
Yes. As of 21 October 2026, SMARTY’s own site offers its 16GB plan with 16GB of extra data, making 32GB for £8 a month, if you join by 23:59 on 9 November 2026. The extra data lasts up to 15 months from your first renewal on the promotion.
Is SMARTY 50GB for £8 better than 32GB for £8?
Yes, if you want more data: both cost £8 a month on a 1-month rolling plan, but 50GB gives you 18GB more. The 50GB offer is applied through the offer link and is available until 31 December 2026.
How long does SMARTY’s 32GB offer last?
SMARTY’s terms say the extra 16GB is available for up to 15 consecutive months from your first renewal on the promotion, after which the plan returns to 16GB for £8. You must keep your plan on auto-renew and not change to another plan.
Can existing SMARTY customers get these offers?
SMARTY’s terms say the 50GB for £8 offer is only for new SMARTY customers. The 32GB terms talk about switching your plan to the 16GB plan by 9 November, so existing customers should check that offer in their account. Changing plan can end an existing promotion, so look at what your current plan includes first.
Does SMARTY do a credit check?
SMARTY says its plans are available without a credit check. Plans are paid monthly in advance on a 1-month rolling basis.
What network does SMARTY use?
SMARTY uses Three’s network, so coverage matches Three’s in your area. Check a coverage map for your home and workplace before switching.
Can I combine SMARTY offers with the Groups discount?
SMARTY’s 32GB terms say that promotion can be combined with the SMARTY Groups 10% discount for eligible members, but not with other promotions. The 50GB offer can’t be combined with any other promotion or discount, so the Groups discount doesn’t apply to it. Check the terms shown at checkout for the offer you choose.
