Black Friday 2026 is Friday 27 November, and Cyber Monday is Monday 30 November. SIM-only offers don't keep to those two days: networks and providers usually launch Black Friday prices one to two weeks earlier, and many keep them into early December, so the deal you want may already be live.
Only if your current deal ends around then. SIM-only prices change all year, and a Black Friday price is not always the lowest one. If you are out of contract now, a 30-day plan lets you save today and still move if a better Black Friday price appears later.
Not always. Which? tracked Black Friday deals and found most were the same price or cheaper at other times of the year. SIM-only prices move all year, and a “was” price may be one that barely ran. Compare the total cost over the contract, not the size of the discount.
We record every price in our feeds each day. We only mark a price drop when the previous price ran for at least 30 days, the new price started less than 30 days ago, and it saves at least £10 and 3% of the total contract cost. We compare what you pay over the contract, not RRP or a network's own “was” price.
Each marked deal shows the old total and the dates it ran, so you can check the claim yourself.
A 12 or 24-month SIM usually costs less each month, but you are tied in and most networks add a price rise each April. A 30-day SIM can cost a little more and lets you leave at any time. Pairing SIM-only with a phone you own is often cheaper than a phone contract.
Probably. Most networks add a fixed rise each April, and since January 2025 Ofcom has required that rise to be shown in pounds and pence before you sign up. Check it in the deal details: a price that goes up by £2 a month from April costs £24 more over the following year.
Usually, yes. If you order online or by phone you normally have 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, though you may pay for anything you used in that time. Check the terms before you order.
