There are no iPhone 18 deals to compare yet, and we would rather say so than pad this page. Apple held the standard iPhone 18 back to spring 2027, so it is not on sale, there is no pre-order date, and no UK network has an iPhone 18 tariff. The models Apple did launch this September are the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, whose pre-orders open at 1pm on Saturday 12 September 2026. If you came here to buy a standard iPhone 18 this autumn, the honest answer is that you cannot.

Why There Is No iPhone 18 to Buy This September

Apple split its 2026 line-up. The Pro models launched in their usual September slot, with pre-orders opening at 1pm on Saturday 12 September 2026, while the standard iPhone 18 was moved to spring 2027. Apple has not published its reasoning and we are not going to speculate about it — what matters commercially is that the non-Pro model will not be in shops, or on a network tariff, for months.
One practical consequence: a listing that simply says "iPhone 18" over the next few weeks is almost always the iPhone 18 Pro or Pro Max. If you are looking for the cheaper standard model, read the full product name before you put anything in a basket. The Pro models are a different phone at a different price.
A note on the panel at the top of this page: the colour and storage swatches shown there are placeholders carried over from the previous standard iPhone generation, not confirmed iPhone 18 options. Apple has announced neither the finishes nor the storage tiers for this model. Once deals exist, that panel is rebuilt from the live product feed, which only ever shows configurations that genuinely have contracts attached.

Your Options Until Spring 2027

If your current phone needs replacing before the iPhone 18 arrives, there are five sensible routes. Which one fits depends mostly on how long you can hold out and whether you mind being tied in.

1

Buy an iPhone 17 now

The iPhone 17 family is on sale, has been independently reviewed and is no longer carrying launch prices. It is the closest thing to the phone you came here for, at a price the standard iPhone 18 will not match for a long time after it launches.

2

Move up to the iPhone 18 Pro instead

If you want the 2026 generation and are prepared to pay Pro money, pre-orders open at 1pm on Saturday 12 September 2026. It is a more expensive handset than the standard model would have been, so compare total contract cost rather than just the jump in monthly payment.

3

Keep your handset and go SIM-only

If your phone still works, a SIM-only plan is the cheapest way to bridge to spring 2027 — and a rolling or 12-month plan leaves you free to take a handset deal the week the iPhone 18 lands rather than two years later.

4

Buy refurbished to bridge the gap

A refurbished iPhone bought outright costs far less than a new flagship contract and can be sold on when the iPhone 18 arrives. Check the grading, the warranty length and the stated battery health before buying.

5

Time your next contract to end near the launch

If you are in contract now, work out when it ends. Lining your upgrade window up with spring 2027 is the cheapest version of waiting, because you are not paying twice or exiting early to get there.

We will not publish an iPhone 18 price, specification or release date before Apple does. Pages that do are repeating leaks, and a leaked detail that turns out to be wrong is worse than an empty table — it costs someone a two-year decision. When Apple announces the handset and the networks open their tariffs, this page fills with real contracts from the same live feeds that power every other deal page on Switch.

How to Time a Contract Around a Spring 2027 Launch

The most expensive mistake available right now is signing a long contract this autumn and then wanting the iPhone 18 six months later. Four steps avoid it.

1Step

Find out when your contract ends

You cannot plan around a date you do not know.

2Step

Avoid a fresh 24 or 36-month handset deal now

If the iPhone 18 specifically is what you want, a long term signed this autumn works against you.

3Step

Bridge with a short or rolling plan

Flexibility costs a little more each month and saves a lot if you change your mind.

4Step

Protect your current handset's resale value

Whatever you are using now will part-fund the next phone, and it loses value every month.

Waiting for the iPhone 18 vs Buying Something Now

Spring 2027 is a long way from September 2026. Whether waiting is worth it depends on what you want out of the phone.

Pros

Waiting gets you the newer generation at standard-model pricing

The standard iPhone has always been the cheaper half of the line-up. Waiting is the only route to the 2026 generation without paying Pro prices.

Current iPhone prices keep falling in the meantime

If you change your mind later, the iPhone 17 family will cost less in six months than it does today.

A short bridging plan keeps you free

Rolling or 12-month SIM-only plans mean you can take a handset deal the week the iPhone 18 launches rather than being locked in elsewhere.

You will have independent reviews before you commit

By spring 2027 the handset will have been tested by people outside Apple. Anyone pre-ordering a Pro this September does not get that.

Cons

Apple has not given a date, so "spring 2027" is all you have

Launch plans can move. Waiting on an undated launch means accepting the wait might be longer than you planned for.

Nothing about the handset is confirmed

No price, no storage tiers, no colours and no specification. You are waiting for a phone nobody outside Apple can describe.

Bridging costs money too

A rolling SIM-only plan for several months, or a refurbished handset to tide you over, is real spend that belongs in the comparison.

Launch pricing will be at its highest in spring 2027

New handsets are most expensive in their first weeks, so arriving on day one means paying the top of the range for the standard model.

What to Watch Out For While the iPhone 18 Does Not Exist

Unreleased handsets attract listings that should not be there. These are the ones worth knowing about before you hand over money or card details.

1

Anyone "taking iPhone 18 pre-orders"

Apple has not opened pre-orders for this model. A site accepting an order, a reservation or a deposit for a standard iPhone 18 today cannot fulfil it on any date it gives you.

2

Deposits and waiting-list fees

Legitimate UK networks do not charge a fee to join a queue for an unannounced phone. Never pay to reserve a handset that has no release date.

3

"iPhone 18" listings that are really the Pro

The Pro and Pro Max are on sale and share the generation name. Read the full product title, the storage tier and the price before ordering — the models are not interchangeable, and the price gap is large.

4

Confident specification lists

Apple has published no specifications for this handset. Any detailed spec sheet circulating now is rumour, however precisely it is written, and it may be wrong in ways that matter.

5

Imports and grey-market stock

There is no iPhone 18 to import. For the Pro models that are on sale, buying outside official UK channels can affect your warranty, your statutory rights and network compatibility.

6

Long contracts sold on the strength of a launch months away

Being told to sign now and upgrade later is how people end up paying an early-exit settlement. If the iPhone 18 is what you want, keep your commitment short until it exists.

What Happens on This Page When the iPhone 18 Launches

The table at the top of this page is wired to live network and retailer feeds. The first iPhone 18 tariff any merchant we carry publishes appears here automatically, with the upfront fee shown next to the monthly payment.

At that point you will be able to filter by network, data allowance, upfront cost and contract length, and sort by total contract cost across the whole term rather than by the headline monthly figure.

Until then this page stays honest about being empty, and the colour and storage panel above remains placeholder rather than confirmed. Nothing here will tell you an iPhone 18 is available before one is.

Compare the iPhone Deals You Can Buy Today

There is no standard iPhone 18 to order, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. If you need a phone before spring 2027, the iPhone 17 family is on sale and well past launch pricing, and the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max open for pre-order at 1pm on Saturday 12 September 2026. When iPhone 18 contracts finally publish, they will appear in the table at the top of this page on their own.

FAQs

Can I pre-order the iPhone 18?
