Is Breeze eSIM any good for UK travellers? As of 26 October 2026, yes for most short trips: a 10GB USA eSIM from Breeze costs £12 for 30 days (shown against £16), Turkey and Japan are also £12 for 10GB, and Spain is £10, with hotspot included and validity that only starts when you land. Breeze is data only, so you keep your normal UK number for calls and texts, and it holds a 4.2 out of 5 rating from 2,714 reviews on Trustpilot. The main things to weigh up are that it has no app, support is by online form, and its multi-country Europe plan is dearer than a single-country eSIM. This SwitchSquid review covers Breeze prices in pounds, how the eSIM works, where it is cheapest, and when Mozillion Travel eSIM is the better buy. We may earn a commission if you buy through links on this page; it doesn’t change the price you pay.

What is Breeze eSIM?
Breeze is a travel eSIM seller. Instead of buying a plastic SIM at the airport, you buy a data plan on Breeze’s website before you go, install it on your phone as a second line, and switch it on when you arrive. Breeze sells single-country plans for more than 190 destinations, regional plans such as Europe, and a global plan.
Each Breeze eSIM connects to local partner networks. On its USA page, for example, Breeze lists Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile, with 4G and 5G where available. Your UK SIM stays in the phone, so WhatsApp, iMessage and your banking texts keep working on your normal number while Breeze handles the data. If you are new to the idea, our guide to what an eSIM is and how it works explains the basics.

What the numbers say: Breeze is cheapest per gigabyte on its bigger single-country plans. Turkey 20GB at £15 works out at 75p per GB, and USA 20GB at £21 is £1.05 per GB. The 1GB plans at £4 are fine for a weekend but poor value per GB. The Europe regional plan costs about twice as much as a Spain-only plan for the same 10GB, so only buy it if you really are crossing borders.
Do you still need roaming from your UK network? Probably not for data. Our best travel eSIM deals this month page compares Breeze with other providers by country.

What do Breeze customers say?
On 26 October 2026, Breeze’s Trustpilot page showed a TrustScore of 4.2 out of 5 from 2,714 reviews. Independent reviewers broadly agree on three points. Speeds are good on the big local networks, setup is simple once you have the QR code, and the main weak spots are the lack of an app and support that runs through a web form rather than live chat.
That matches what we would expect from a web-only seller. You manage your plans and top-ups by logging in to Breeze’s website, and Breeze says it sends an alert as your data runs down. If you like doing everything from one app on your phone, that is a genuine drawback; if you just want data that works when you land, it matters less.
How to set up a Breeze eSIM before you fly
Check your phone. It must be eSIM-compatible and network-unlocked. Most iPhones from the XS onwards and recent Samsung and Google Pixel phones support eSIM.
Buy the plan at home. Breeze says validity starts on first use in the destination, not at purchase, so you can buy a few days early.
Install it on Wi-Fi. Scan the QR code from a second screen or use the manual details, and label the line something like “Travel”.
Leave it switched off until you land. Then set the Breeze line as your data line and turn on data roaming for that line only.
Keep your UK line for calls and texts, but turn its data roaming off so your UK network cannot charge you for data.
Our eSIM vs physical SIM guide explains how dual-SIM phones handle two lines.

Hotspot, top-ups and unlimited plans
Breeze says tethering is included on every plan, so you can share data with a laptop or a travel companion at no extra charge. You can top up at any time by logging in to your account. Breeze also sells “Unlimited Essential” day plans, for example 7 days in the USA for £22. These carry a daily fair-use allowance, after which speeds slow, so read the allowance on the plan page before you choose unlimited over a fixed 10GB or 20GB plan.
For most holidays, a fixed plan is simpler and cheaper. A family streaming on a hotel TV might use 2GB to 3GB in an evening; maps, messaging and social media for a week usually fit in 5GB to 10GB per person.
Who should not buy a Breeze eSIM?
People who need a local phone number. Breeze plans are data only, with no calls or SMS on a local number.
Owners of locked or older phones without eSIM support.
Anyone whose UK plan already includes the destination. Some UK SIM-only deals include roaming in Europe or selected countries, so check yours first.
People who want app-based support. Breeze has no dedicated app at the time of writing.
If your UK contract is ending anyway, see whether a SIM-only deal with roaming built in suits you better; our PAC code guide explains how to keep your number when you switch.

FAQ
Is Breeze eSIM legit?
Yes. Breeze sells travel eSIMs for more than 190 destinations and had a 4.2 out of 5 TrustScore from 2,714 reviews on Trustpilot on 26 October 2026. Read the most recent low-scoring reviews as well as the average before you buy.
How much is a Breeze eSIM for the USA?
On 26 October 2026, Breeze charged £12 for 10GB over 30 days, shown against £16, and £21 for 20GB. A 1GB plan for 7 days costs £4. Mozillion’s 10GB USA plan was £11 on the same day.
Does Breeze eSIM include calls and texts?
No. Breeze plans are data only. You can still make calls with WhatsApp or FaceTime over the Breeze data, and your UK SIM can stay active for texts.
When does a Breeze eSIM start?
Breeze says the validity period starts on first use in the destination, not when you buy. That means you can install it at home a few days before you travel.
Can I use a Breeze eSIM as a hotspot?
Yes. Breeze says tethering is included on every plan at no extra cost. Hotspot use counts towards your data allowance, so a laptop can use it up quickly.
Is Breeze cheaper than roaming with my UK network?
Often, yes, outside Europe. Many UK networks charge a daily fee or high per-MB rates in the USA, Turkey or Japan, while a Breeze 10GB plan costs £12 for 30 days in each of those countries. Check your own plan’s roaming rules first.
