British gas was officially established in 1812 and originally named the Gas Light & Coke Company.
From providing Great Britain with the first gas streetlights to providing services throughout wartime conditions and beyond, the company history is vast.
‘British Gas’ has been the company name since 1986.

They will also offset your gas carbon footprint from 90% of the gas you use on this tariff. Exit fees of £40 per fuel.

Fixed energy prices until 31 October 2023. 100% of your electricity use on this tariff matched with renewable electricity by buying Guarantees of Origin certificates (GoOs) or Renewable Energy Guarantee of Origins certificates (REGOs) or both. Exit fees of £40 per fuel
