What is the cheapest full fibre broadband deal in the UK? As of 1 November 2026, Gigaclear Explorer 300 works out cheapest over the contract: £0 a month for the first three months, then £19 a month, which is £285 over 18 months or £15.83 a month on average, with £0 activation. Gigaclear builds mainly in rural areas, so if it does not reach your street, BT Full Fibre 150 at £25.99 a month averages £30.32 a month over 24 months once its fixed price rises are included. Headline prices hide free months, rises and credits, so this SwitchSquid guide ranks full fibre deals by their effective monthly cost over the whole contract. Check your postcode first, because full fibre availability varies street by street. If you buy through the buttons on this page, we may earn a commission; it does not change the price you pay.

Cheapest full fibre over the contract: Gigaclear Explorer 300, an effective £15.83 a month

Full fibre broadband deals ranked by effective monthly cost
Effective monthly cost is the total you pay over the minimum term, including free months and any price rises the provider has already set, divided by the number of months. It is the fairest way to compare an 18-month deal with free months against a 24-month deal that rises every spring. All prices are for new customers.
Deal | Average speed | Monthly price | Upfront | Contract | Total over the contract | Effective monthly cost | Price rises | Code | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Gigaclear Explorer 300 | 300Mbps upload and download | £0 for 3 months, then £19 | £0 activation | 18 months | £285 | £15.83 | Gigaclear says prices may change during the contract | None needed | Cheapest overall, rural homes |
Gigaclear Galileo 900 | 900Mbps upload and download | £0 for 6 months, then £29 | £0 activation | 18 months | £348 | £19.33 | Gigaclear says prices may change during the contract | None needed | Fastest for the money |
Gigaclear Odyssey 600 | 600Mbps upload and download | £0 for 3 months, then £25 | £0 activation | 18 months | £375 | £20.83 | Gigaclear says prices may change during the contract | None needed | Busy homes in Gigaclear areas |
Highland Broadband Essential 150 | 150Mbps | £24.99 | See provider | 24 months | £703.76 | £29.32 | +£4 each April from 2027 | None needed | Homes in its Scottish network |
BT Full Fibre 150 | 150Mbps | £25.99 | £0 activation | 24 months | £727.76 | £30.32 | £29.99 from March 2027, £33.99 from March 2028 | None needed | Widest availability |
Quickline 200Mbps | 200Mbps | Shown when you check your address | See provider | See provider | Less than 83p a day | Fixed for the contract | No mid-contract rises | None needed | Price certainty in its network areas |
How the totals are worked out: the Gigaclear totals are the monthly price multiplied by the paid months (15 or 12 of the 18). The BT and Highland totals assume a start in November 2026, so five months at the starting price, 12 months after the first rise and seven months after the second. Quickline does not publish a monthly price before you enter an address, but it describes its 200Mbps package as costing less than 83p a day and says its prices do not rise mid-contract.
Cheapest full fibre deal: Gigaclear Explorer 300
Gigaclear’s Explorer 300 is the cheapest full fibre deal in our table by a distance. You pay nothing for the first three months, then £19 a month for the remaining 15 months of an 18-month contract. Gigaclear quotes average speeds of 300Mbps in both directions, a 240Mbps minimum download speed, an eero 7 router and free standard installation. After the minimum term, the price moves to Gigaclear’s standard list price, so set a reminder for month 17.
The limitation is coverage. Gigaclear runs its own full fibre network, focused on rural communities, so most town and city addresses cannot get it. Our Gigaclear review covers its network and service, and our rural full fibre availability guide explains how to check.

Fastest full fibre for the money: Gigaclear Galileo 900
If you want gigabit-class speeds, Galileo 900 is the stand-out. It has six free months, then £29 a month, so the 18-month total is £348, an effective £19.33 a month for 900Mbps upload and download. It comes with an eero Pro 7 router and free eero Secure, and Gigaclear says only 2,500 are available on this offer. That is less than the effective cost of BT Full Fibre 150 in our table, for six times the average download speed. Our guide to 1Gb full fibre broadband explains who actually needs that speed.
Full fibre deals available almost everywhere: BT Full Fibre 150
BT sells full fibre over Openreach’s national network, so it is available at far more addresses than the regional networks in this table. Ofcom’s spring 2026 Connected Nations update found full fibre was available to 24.9 million homes, 82% of the UK, in January 2026. BT Full Fibre 150 costs £25.99 a month on a 24-month contract, then £29.99 from March 2027 and £33.99 from March 2028. There is a £0 activation fee, and BT offers up to £300 towards the fees for leaving your current provider, applied as bill credit.
Over 24 months starting in November, that comes to £727.76, or £30.32 a month on average. If you are paying exit fees to leave your current provider, the leaving fee credit can bring that down. Our BT full fibre and leaving fees guide shows how the credit works.
Full fibre in towns and cities: BT Full Fibre 150 from £25.99 a month
- £25.99 a month on a 24-month contract, £29.99 from March 2027 and £33.99 from March 2028, an effective £30.32 a month
- No code needed: £0 activation and up to £300 towards your leaving fees as bill credit
- Main limitation: two fixed price rises during the contract, and new BT customers only
Full fibre deals with no price rises
Most national providers raise prices each spring by a fixed amount set out when you sign. If you want certainty, Quickline says the price you sign up to is the price you pay for the full length of your contract, with no mid-contract increases. It only sells where its own network reaches; see our Quickline review. Gigaclear does not publish a fixed rise, but its terms say prices may change during the contract. Our guide to mid-contract price rises explains how each provider’s rises work.
12-month full fibre deals and full fibre without a phone line
None of the deals in our table is a 12-month contract; the shortest minimum term here is Gigaclear’s 18 months. Short contracts usually cost more each month, so they suit renters and people planning to move. Our 12-month full fibre deals guide lists the options.
You do not need a landline for full fibre. The fibre runs to an optical box in your home, and calls, if you want them, use an internet phone service. That means none of these deals forces you to pay for line rental. Our broadband without a landline guide goes into more detail.

How to switch to full fibre
Check your address. Use our broadband postcode checker, then confirm on the provider’s site, because availability can differ between neighbouring streets.
Check your current contract end date and any exit fees, then weigh them against credits such as BT’s leaving fee offer.
Order from the new provider. Under One Touch Switch, your new provider arranges the switch and the old service is cancelled for you. Our One Touch Switch guide explains the process.
Book the installation. Full fibre normally needs an engineer visit to fit the optical box; see what to expect on installation day.

Which full fibre deals have no price rises?
Quickline says its prices do not rise during the contract. Gigaclear does not publish a fixed rise, but its terms say prices may change during the contract. BT and Highland Broadband both set out fixed rises each spring.

How many homes can get full fibre?
Ofcom’s spring 2026 Connected Nations update says full fibre was available to 24.9 million homes, 82% of the UK, in January 2026. Availability still varies from street to street, so check your postcode before ordering.
How long does it take to switch to full fibre?
Your new provider arranges the switch under One Touch Switch and books an engineer if one is needed. The install date depends on availability in your area. Your old service is cancelled when the new one goes live.
